An Appeal to the Highest Seat of Power

Dear President Ferdiand "Bongbong" Romualdez Marcos Jr.:

Congratulations on your election to the highest seat of power in our country. I have never written a letter to a head of state before, however, I do apologize for I will not mince my words. Your first few months have left me wanting. The rampant inflation and devaluation of the peso has made things more difficult for the common man. You have shown to prioritize socializing rather than being a social worker. You have put your family and your cronies wants over your duty to our country men who struggle meet the basic necessities of life. Moreover, the fact that you have not yet appointed a Department of Health secretary, amidst a global health crisis, is foreboding. It was as tough you had no greater plans to improve the lives of the common citizenry, and only wished to restore your Family's legacy. However, I will give you the benefit of the doubt. I hope and pray that the 31 million who voted you in this country are upon you. Do not let them down! For the next 6 years will determine if the tiger has claws, or is in actuality a declawed kitten.

                                                                                                                    Sincerely yours,
                                                                                                                       Jhovia Paz
