The Untapped Gold Mine Of High School Celebration



        Ilocos Sur National High School held its 121st High school Day Celebration on March 25,2023 with the theme: ”Renewed Commitment in Defying Odds to transcend Heights of Excellence and Solidarity”. Many students were looking forward to this commemoration because it had been postponed for several years owing to the pandemic. 


      The 121st High School Day Celebration opened the ground for the restoration of the school's true spirit. The Field Demonstration was something I appreciated during this celebration. In fact, we were the Champions of the Hip Hop Dance Craze 2023, and collected several awards. With that we had a fantastic opportunity to perform it in front of all students at Ilocos Sur National High School, and indeed we were the Darling of the Crowd. This was my first Field Demonstration in High School, but it was nothing like the old gist. Nonetheless, I miss the original and spirit of this Celebration. However, I am grateful for the opportunity to attend such an event. This will be a Core memory for me, as well as the best thing I have experienced during my last year as a junior. I hope that this Pandemic will eventually cease or that a solution will be discovered in order for future generations who will take part in this wonderful Alma mater would recognize that the best educational experience is in High school.


         In conclusion, this celebration, which honored the school’s accomplishments and contributions as well as the hard work and dedication of its instructors, staff, and students, was a huge success owned. The occasion also served as a timely reminder of the value of education and the critical part that schools play in determining the future of our communities.
